making it work...

I can't remember where I came across this but I've been using it a lot lately and thought I would share the love.

You know how sometimes you want to print something from the internet and you end up wasting paper and ink because all of the extra stuff on the page, like ads and headers, etc.? The fine folks at Print What You Like have come up with the solution. You can go to this site, enter the url for the page you want to print and then edit out all the stuff you don't want or isolate only what you do want. So that news article, or recipe, or whatever goes from being 5 pages of mostly crap, to one concise page of just what you need. Brilliant!

are you ready?

Happiness arrived by mail today.

This is the brand new CD/DVD set from Blue Rodeo. It includes audio and video from their Massey Hall concerts in February 2008 and a documentary about the band. I wanted to pop in the DVD player right away but Elizabeth and I are planning a viewing party so the CD will have to do for now. I get the feeling that I will not be disappointed.

all in time

Once again, I've been a very bad blogger. There are two main reasons for this. Knitting and sleeping. I've been doing a pretty serious amount of knitting lately. I can't seem to finish a project, but I sure start a whole bunch of them and get about 95% done before I drop one and move on to something else. Other than that, I've been spending most of my free time sleeping. This baby is kicking my ass, sucking all of my energy. People keep telling me to get ready for the sleep deprivation that inevitably occurs when the baby arrives. No need to worry. I am so there.

With November around the corner, I've been thinking of trying NaBloPoMo again. I think I might be insane just for considering it, but it might be the kick in the ass I need to get back into blogging again. So this week is a test run. If I can blog daily for most of this week, then I will participate in NaBloPoMo this year. If not, I will at least try to blog more often than I have been.

Do we have a deal?
